Summit Park Ferns in Autumn

October is a time of year when the summer wanes to winter, but rain arrives, and with it, new plants spring up from their slumber during the dry summer. Seeing these little, bright green ferns next to trees dropping their last few red leaves is a paradox, and it makes for a nice narrative in a painting.
