Description
This is a larger painting based on the smaller one I recently painted of the same spot and time, Sunset Colours at Elk Lake.
Elk lake sits aside the Patricia Bay Highway, and any time I am driving home to Victoria from that direction it is always a welcome sight. This time we knew we’d have to stop the car and watch the sun set for a while. We’d been watching the clouds turn yellow and pink before we approached, and as always, it was a sublime experience to see them turn to the deep navy blues, reds, purples and oranges as the sun sank slowly into the horizon.
Unless otherwise specified, canvas prints are stretched on wooden stretcher bars, and finished with a black linen edge that requires no frame.

Canvas prints are printed professionally and locally at a print shop in Victoria, BC. Every print is carefully inspected by the artist, Mike Lathrop, before it is signed and numbered in pencil on the back.

All orders orders over $100 ship for free within Canada. To the United States, there is a maximum $50 flat rate for shipping.
