I painted this based on a photo taken when I was hiking part of the Juan de Fuca trail with a group of very old, very good friends. I was ambivelant at this moment that we were near the end of the trip; sad it was almost over, but really happy to be there. I couldn’t stop declaring, “This is awesome!” that whole hike, not that I tried.
