Description
Hiking the Juan de Fuca Trail, closing in on Sombrio Beach, the rocky beach was thick with seaweed. Every corner of it had some community of residents. This was particularly evident in the tidal pools, but really, anywhere you looked was full of life. The sun shone bright, the rocks received and radiated the warmth, and the joy of all this for every creature and microbe on this beach was palpable.
Unless otherwise specified, canvas prints are stretched on wooden stretcher bars, and finished with a black linen edge that requires no frame.

Canvas prints are printed professionally and locally at a print shop in Victoria, BC. Every print is carefully inspected by the artist, Mike Lathrop, before it is signed and numbered in pencil on the back.
