
On this clear summer day, I walked with a good friend on trail I’d never walked before in Gowland Tod Park. We hiked up to a viewpoint where we could survey nearly all of Brentwood Bay, and then down to a beach far below. As we clambered up the point at the end of the beach, we came upon a rocky meadow with this view of the bay, framed perfectly by an arbutus tree.
