There was a movement in the skies that I sometimes percieve and try to convey when I paint. I am inspired by Emily Carr, and particularly the way she painted movement in the sky. I took the photo I used for reference for this painting while passing through Active Pass on the ferry, between Galiano and Mayne Islands.
